Growing up in Maryland, I always had a sense of curiosity about the world beyond my hometown. My desire to explore new places and cultures eventually led me to pursue a career in teaching abroad.

During my time in Hangzhou, for example, my school organized a trip to West Lake, which is a beautiful and iconic landmark in the city. We spent the day walking around the lake, taking in the stunning scenery and learning about the legends and stories associated with it. We also had the opportunity to try some of the local cuisine and chat with locals, which was a great way to practice our language skills and learn more about daily life in Hangzhou

Aside from Hangzhou, I have also had the opportunity to visit other cities in the region, such as Shanghai, Suzhou, and Nanjing. Each city has its own unique culture and history, and I have enjoyed exploring the different landmarks, museums, and festivals in each place. For example, in Shanghai, I visited the Bund, which is a famous waterfront promenade that offers stunning views of the city skyline. I also visited the Shanghai Museum, which has a large collection of ancient Chinese art and artifacts. In Suzhou, I had the opportunity to visit the Classical Gardens, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for their beauty and cultural significance.

In addition to the organized activities, HaiCheng-Education has also been very supportive in helping me plan my own travel and exploration. They have provided me with helpful tips and recommendations for places to visit and things to do, and have even helped me book transportation and accommodations. This has been particularly helpful for me, as I am not always familiar with the local language or customs, and having the support of HaiCheng-Education has made my travels much smoother and more enjoyable. Additionally, their 24/7 service has been invaluable in helping me navigate any challenges or issues that have arisen during my time here.

Through these experiences, I have gained a deep appreciation for the rich history and culture of the region.
